Doug personally answered every call my wife or I made and explained every step of the process - which, as first time home-buyers, was extremely helpful and very much appreciated. - ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆Doug Mendenhall got angry with me when I wouldn't immediately sign loan disclosures in which the total cost at closing line item and property tax line item were off by $1000. He had sent me a corrected PDF, but the document that I was signing was not corrected, and he refused to do the extra work to update the document. He said either I trust him and sign it, or we're done, and then he hung up the phone on me. Doug is a top producer in Oregon, and I think Doug might be a good broker for experienced buyers. For first time buyers who want to try to understand what they are signing, and who need more time and attention, I would not recommend him. This incident made me feel absolutely terrible. He carefully went through each step of the process and and made sure everything went well. Tobie, Melissa, and Doug were timely and clear with what they needed and we got the whole process wrapped up in record time.
